Hawthorn Lodge is a heritage listed homestead and gardens built in 1869. Constructed by Ebenezer Shoobridge who introduced hops to Australia and established one of the largest hop farms in the world at Bushy Park.

 

Well recognised in Tasmania as a very comfortable, popular bed and breakfast. Located close to Mt Field and other Derwent Valley attractions. Guests enjoy extensive gardens, traditional country hospitality and dining that makes full use of home grown produce. 

 

Open fires, comfortable lounge, games and veranda allow for relaxation. Modern touches are not forgotten with high speed internet.

The Lazy Teas cafe is open every Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 4pm. On other days open for groups of 10 or more.
